At the foot of Trinity Mountain
Trinity is in northwestern Morgan County and counted 2,526 residents in 2020. The southern part of town is shaped by Trinity Mountain, a broad ridge that rises several hundred feet above the land around it.[1]
In the 1810s, plantation owners built houses on top of the mountain to get away from the mosquito-infested lowlands. The town incorporated in 1901 and received its present name in 1903.[1]
