A river bluff town
Triana is perched on a bluff on the north bank of the Tennessee River in southwest Madison County, about 16 miles southwest of downtown Huntsville.[1]
It was incorporated in 1819 as the second town in Madison County and was a busy riverport before the railroads came. The 2020 census counted 2,890 residents.[1]
