A bluff town with a Jackson legend
According to the local story, General Jackson carved his name in a locust tree in 1815, and the town took its name from that tree. It incorporated in 1977, and 1,192 residents were counted in 2020.[1]
Locust Fork stands on a bluff above the Blackburn Fork of the Little Warrior River, in an Appalachian valley that runs northeast to southwest.[1]
