A small town atop Sand Mountain
Lakeview is a western DeKalb County town on Sand Mountain, along State Route 75. Rainsville is about 10 miles to the northeast, and Geraldine about 2.5 miles to the southwest.[1]
Only 161 people lived there in 2020. The population has moved a great deal over time, from 13 in 1970 up to a peak of 441 in 1980.[1]
