A reservoir town in a valley
Highland Lake is a small Blount County town with 412 residents in the 2020 census. It is built around a reservoir on the Blackburn Fork of the Little Warrior River and is 7 miles southwest of Oneonta, the county seat.[1]
The town sits in a valley, with Blount Mountain to the southeast and Straight Mountain to the northwest.[1]
