Guntersville is the seat of Marshall County, Alabama, and counted 8,553 residents in the 2020 census. Earlier names for the place were Gunter's Ferry and Gunter's Landing, and it became Guntersville in 1854.[1]
Arab is in Marshall County too. Guntersville sits at the southernmost point of the Tennessee River, on Lake Guntersville, which was formed by the TVA's Guntersville Dam.[1]
