Elkmont is a town in the north central part of Limestone County with 411 residents in 2020. It is several miles north of Athens, near the Alabama-Tennessee border, and covers 1.65 square miles.[1]
The town is centered on County Road 49 (Upper Fort Hampton Road) and the old railroad line, with the Elk River flowing to the west.[1]
