A small town with German roots

Berlin is a small Cullman County town about five miles east of the city of Cullman.  The 2020 census counted 476 residents.[1]

The place was first named Hobart.  Around 1914 it took the name of Germany's capital in honor of its many residents of German descent, and it incorporated in 2018 after a 45 to 23 vote.[1]

  • Locals regard Walker's Corner, where U.S. Route 278 crosses Cullman County Road 747, as the center of town.[1]

  • The Lidy Walker Covered Bridge stood just north of town from 1958 until it collapsed in 2001.[1]

Lab Testing In-office lab tests including blood sugar, A1C, PT/INR, pregnancy, COVID and strep tests, urinalysis and drug screening. Digital X-Rays Digital X-ray on site: chest, abdominal, skull, thoracic spine and bone studies. EKG In-office electrocardiograms to check your heart rhythm and electrical activity. COVID-19 Information Awareness and guidance if you have had contact with someone with COVID-19, and testing information.
